Chicago Housing Authority could continue to redirect funds under controversial HUD program extension

A controversial program that allows the Chicago Housing Authority and other public housing agencies to use federal funding designated for housing vouchers and public housing for other purposes is up for a 15-year extension as part of Senate budget negotiations.
